I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Akane Sakuramori and Saito Houjou genuinely cannot be in the same room without it turning into a verbal war zone, like, zero love lost between these two. He's laid-back, she's intense, and their classmates are used to the fireworks by now. Then their grandparents, who apparently had a whole romance of their own back in the day, decide these two should get married. While still in high school. And live together. And keep it a secret from everyone at school. That's the setup for this 12-episode TV series, and honestly, the fun is in watching two people who are absolutely convinced they hate each other slowly run out of reasons to keep up the act. The early episodes lean hard into the comedy of forced cohabitation, petty arguments over chores, awkward moments they'd both rather forget, and the constant paranoia of almost getting found out by classmates. But underneath the bickering, there's a slow thaw happening that feels earned rather than rushed. If you liked Nisekoi's fake-relationship tension or the way Toradora! turned two stubborn people into something real, this hits a similar nerve. It's also got a bit of that Oreshura energy where the premise is ridiculous but the character dynamics keep you watching. Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ keep the animation clean and expressive, which helps sell the comedic timing. It's a cozy watch, nothing groundbreaking, but the kind of rom-com that's easy to settle into on a quiet evening.

romcom chaos goes crazy here. The love triangle gets way messier and the tension is spicy. Lots of jealousy, awkward moments, and “oh this is getting serious” energy. Super fun if you’re into drama.
Family event episode but there’s a lot of chaotic/funny energy. Some wild jokes stir things up and the dynamics are entertaining as usual. More chill than dramatic, but pretty fun and cozy to watch.
This is peak messy romcom energy. A fake setup starts spiraling and gets way more complicated than planned. Lots of awkward tension and “oh no this is getting dangerous” vibes. Super fun if you like drama chaos.
Maho is straight-up chaos this ep 😅 all the extra stuff finally starts making sense. More of a drama/comedy episode, but the motive reveal makes the dynamic way more interesting. Messy, goofy, pretty fun ngl.
New character pulls up and instantly brings chaos lol. A lot of bickering energy this ep, but it’s the fun kind. More comedy than romance-heavy, but the dynamics get way more entertaining. Pretty easy, fun watch.
Jealousy drama gets kinda wild, but in that fun romcom way. There’s tension, some really sweet moments too, and the episode lowkey feels more romantic than usual. Bit of chaos, bit of feels—good combo.
Study session turns into lowkey chaos with secret-keeping, plus a nice backstory drop that adds depth. There’s also some cute moments mixed in. Not super dramatic, but the vibes are good and kinda wholesome.
This one’s messy in a good way—love triangle drama kicks in and the tension feels real. Kinda frustrating but also addictive. Not much action, just emotions going all over the place. If you like drama, this hits.
Starts goofy with the “ghost” bit, then turns into jealous chaos real quick. The tension spikes but still feels playful. Not heavy plot-wise, just messy romcom energy and some spicy dynamics. Fun ep tbh.
This one’s softer—more bonding and cute after-school vibes. You can feel things warming up and it’s lowkey wholesome. Not much drama, just steady progress. Easy, feel-good ep if you’re in the mood.
Still messy but kinda fun—differences cause chaos, then the “rules” thing adds a nice twist. You can already feel a bit of soft development creeping in. Not deep, but the dynamic is starting to click.
Well, the ending is predictable and the progress of Saito and Akane's relationship tends to go in circle... (This is why I’m not really a fan of tsundere, lol.) Still, I have to admit that even though the overall story is mid, the execution of the drama is pretty good.
I was a bit surprised because this one seems to drop the tension from the previous episode and focuses more on sweet, wholesome moments. Maybe it's their way to set things up for the conclusion in the final episode. I'm really excited to see what's going to happen next.
Dramatic and full of tension. Things are starting to get serious now as rumors about Saito and Akane living together begin to spread. I’m sure this episode will get you all worked up thanks to Akane’s tsundere personality
Honestly, I don't really like how pushy Maho is when it comes to Saitou's and Akane’s relationship. But I get that she has her own reasons, and the way the conflict is resolved feels quite satisfying. Oh, and if you looking for fan service.... don't skip this episode 😉.
The presence of another little sister really spices things up but I feel like this new character overshadows the relationship development between Saitou and Akane from the previous episode.
Classic romcom setup but with a spicy twist—forced marriage + enemies vibe. Ep 1 is mostly setup, but the tension and banter are kinda fun. Not groundbreaking, but easy watch if you like messy relationships.
Great pacing and intense as we learn more about the Houjou family. I like how the ring becomes the central focus of this episode and symbolizing how strong Saitou and Akane’s relationship is.
Great episode, probably my favorite so far. I love how emotional it gets when they show Akane’s past and then it’s followed by a very sweet date scene.
Ah yes, the classic love triangle in a romcom anime. I believe adding a rival will help Saitou and Akane's relationship develop even further, and it also make the story more engaging.
