Working at the same confectionery company, Yui Mitsuya in planning and Masugu Tateishi in accounting are the pair everyone in the office thinks can't stand each other. The bickering, the cold shoulders, the passive-aggressive email chains. Except it's all an act. They're actually dating and desperately trying to keep it that way without anyone finding out. So naturally, every attempt to hide it just creates more chaos. A near-miss in the break room, an accidentally tender moment during a meeting, coworkers who are way too perceptive for comfort — the 12-episode TV series is basically a slow-motion game of "how long can two adults pretend to hate each other before someone catches on." What makes it work is that it nails the specific awkwardness of being in a relationship you can't acknowledge at the place you spend most of your waking hours. The comedy comes from situations that feel genuinely plausible rather than over-the-top anime nonsense, and the romance has that warm, lived-in quality where you're rooting for a couple that's already together instead of waiting for a confession. If you liked the adult workplace energy of Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku or the office dynamics in My Senpai is Annoying, this hits a similar sweet spot — cozy, funny, and grounded in the reality that being a working adult with a love life is its own kind of comedy.

uorseucs★★★★★AnimeI really find this series so satisfying to watch. Unlike other romance series that develop slowly, this one already has its plot set in stone. That said, this is also such a mature romance with mostly adult stuff in it, but it is not heavy at all. In fact, its lightheartedness is probably the most attractive part of it. They are just like young adults despite their maturity. That aside, the development of side characters are also very likeable. While their screen time isn't as much as the main cast, it's still pretty great. Craftsmanship-wise, it is pretty great. I would even say it is excellent, although it does not really have many huge, standout moments. Is that a bad thing? I do not think so. If I had to make an analogy for its craftsmanship, it would be water: simple and neutral, but still one of the best drinks out there. Overall, I would rate this a 10/10. If you are looking for a mature romance series that is not overly serious, then this is perfect for you.
