Episode Context

Named after the childhood game of blindman's buff, this episode shifts focus to Ritsu and Tsukasa, bringing a more intimate and character-driven tone to the anthology-style series. Hyakki Yakoushou operates at the intersection of the mundane and the supernatural, and this installment leans into that tension, expect quietly unsettling atmosphere layered over what appears to be a personal, emotionally grounded story. The horror here is likely subtle rather than visceral, the kind that creeps in through relationships and unspoken truths rather than overt scares. The romantic and mystery elements of the series suggest this episode balances tenderness with dread, using its two named characters to explore vulnerability in the face of the unknown.
