Episode Context

Positioned roughly two-thirds through the series, this episode follows the aftermath of Gon's grueling bout with Gido and uses the downtime to invest in character preparation across multiple storylines. It serves as a critical transitional beat within the Heavens Arena arc, allowing the tension to reset before the spotlight shifts to Hisoka's highly anticipated match against Kastro in the next episode. The breathing room here makes the upcoming escalation hit harder.
