Episode Context

Sitting past the halfway mark of the original 62-episode run, episode 38 arrives after Gon and Killua's early Heavens Arena bouts exposed them to Nen without understanding it, this episode formalizes that knowledge gap into structured training under Wing. It serves as a critical foundation episode, establishing the power system that will govern every major confrontation ahead, including the inevitable reckoning with Hisoka that the arc has been building toward.
