Episode Context

Sitting at roughly the one-third mark of the original 62-episode run, this filler bridges the gap between the examinees being marooned after the previous episode's shipwreck scenario and the significantly higher-stakes manhunt phase on Zevil Island. It deepens the group dynamics established throughout the Hunter Exam arc without advancing the core plot, so skipping it won't leave gaps but watching it adds texture to character relationships heading into the exam's brutal next stage.
