The refugee plot is handled with surprising care. Jirukoma and Komain are actual characters with conflicting perspectives, not just plot devices. The birth scene ties everything together thematically.One thing I especially appreciated: Souma isn't the hero here. He suggests the C-section, sure, but it's Hilde and the Three-Eyes medical knowledge that actually saves the day. I enyoyed the episode very much.
Finally rating is a bit more! The episode is so emotional! Also love how the got the characters were based on Natives! Also love how Kazuya forces the political reality here. 8/10 reality check!
Brad and Hilde are the MVPs!! This episode is also emotional, with the chief of the refugees making a difficult decision about wanting to go home to the homeland. Overall it's good!
