I wasn't expecting Horimiya to hook me this fast. Seeing Hori and Miyamura's completely different lives outside school was so refreshing, and their chemistry already feels natural. The ending with Hori crying and then getting mad had me laughing like crazy.

It's really interesting to see the contrast in character design and personality in someone who looks very different from what people expect on the outside compared to who they are in real life, which makes the story more engaging.

Nice character development, making the protagonist's growth truly engaging.

Usually I’m not a rom-com fan but this isn’t bad at all. The female lead isn’t the typical soft type, she’s kinda brawny and cool which makes her stand out. The dynamic already feels natural. Looks like this is going to be a wholesome comfort anime.

A refreshing start that perfectly captures the charm of discovering someone's hidden side. The balance between school life and domestic reality is handled with great sincerity. Beautiful animation and relatable leads make this an instant standout in the rom-com genre.

One thing unique about Horimiya is how their eyes are drawn. It fits so well with the character designs. In this first episode, you get a glimpse on how the humor and friendships work. And Souta is such a cute wingman. Hori is such a character. I love her.

horimiya is the best romcom i mean the elites of romcoms. seeing miyamura and hori be complete possible opposites make the story literal peak and the animation is also very fluid.

Horimiya is one of those animes that makes you feel something you have forgotten for a long time. As an adult, it brings back a lot of school memories, especially our crushes. Hori and Miyamura's wholesome meeting takes me back to my childhood.
