Honoo no Haramase Paidol My★Star Gakuen Z The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Don't let the typical idol premise fool you — this one actually carries a surprising amount of comedic mileage, navigating the chaotic, often absurd world of the Japanese entertainment industry alongside four aspiring idols and their producer. This single-episode OVA from T-Rex takes an anthology approach, splitting its runtime into distinct vignettes: a debut concert for the idol group Cream Pie, a beach photoshoot that tests professional boundaries, a voice acting gig that spirals in unexpected directions, and a station event built around linguistic misunderstandings that somehow manage to land as genuinely funny. Each segment has its own flavor, which keeps things from feeling repetitive despite the short runtime. The character designs are distinct enough that each idol feels like her own person rather than a palette swap, and the humorous misunderstanding bits are the kind of wordplay comedy that works better than you'd expect from this genre. Based on an adult visual novel by Minami Ebinuma and Squeez, the tone is lighter and more comedic than the title might suggest. If you've watched Honoo no Haramase Oppai: Ero Appli Gakuen The Animation or Honoo no Haramase Tenkousei and appreciated their character-driven framing within the adult genre, this fits that same pocket. It's not reinventing anything, but the anthology structure and idol industry setting give it a distinct enough identity that fans of Honoo no Haramase Dousoukai will find familiar comfort here. One episode, four scenarios, zero filler.
