The usual change of seats system gives Ishimori the opportunity of getting even closer to Kai!! Love it when the anime has this kind of episodes... really wholesome!

the school trip setup was classic rom-com fuel. uka discovering kai's secret hiding spot? the animation of sunlight through trees was beautiful. the cliffhanger ending caught me off guard. these two are killing me with the slow burn. ⛰️

Uka and Kai sharing a secret really makes their bond feel special. It was so sweet seeing them talk alone on the school roof away from everyone else. Uka is slowly getting more confident because Kai is always there to support her.

This episode is so sweet! I love seeing that shift from being a total loner to actually finding a place where you belong. It’s not just about romance; it’s about that first time you realize people actually want you around. The vibe is just so warm and fuzzy, like a perfect summer

During lunch break, Uka is wandering around the school and ends up finding a quiet rooftop/hidden place where Miura usually goes to nap. She didn’t know it was his spot, so she gets surprised when she finds him there sleeping.
Miura then casually talks with her and lets her stay there. The place becomes a calm, safe space where Uka feels comfortable, away from the noisy classroom and her anxiety around people.

This one feels more relaxed, not much happens but it adds to Uka’s gradual confidence. What I liked is how her reactions start to change slightly. It does feel slower, but it keeps the mood consistent. More buildup than payoff 😐

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned early at episode 3 of 12, this follows Uka's first real steps toward self-assertion in Episode 2 and deepens the foundational relationships that will carry the season forward. The bonds forming here between Uka, Kai, and Ayumi are clearly being built as infrastructure for heavier emotional stakes ahead. Episode 4, titled 'However Distant We May Be,' suggests incoming separation or tension, making this a crucial calm-before-the-storm chapter that earns its quieter beats.
