Hishoka Drop The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A clerical error, not his resume, is what gets Daisuke Godai through the door at a major corporation entirely by accident. To avoid the awkward admission, the company quietly parks him in the secretarial department, which turns out to be staffed by four attractive, uninhibited women: Kyoko, Saori, Runa, and Hitomi. Daisuke's first thought is that fate has handed him something incredible. His second thought, arriving very quickly, is that he has badly misread the situation. These women are not waiting around to be charmed. If anything, he's the one being played with, and the secretarial department's reputation for lax discipline starts making a lot more sense. The whole setup is comedic and lighthearted — less power fantasy, more a guy realizing he is very much not in charge. If you liked the playful dynamic in Office Affairs or the female-led energy of Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo, this hits a similar note. It's a single OVA adapted from Haruki's manga 'Secretarial Section Drop', produced by Pink Pineapple, so the animation quality is solid for the genre. At one episode, it does not overstay its welcome. The appeal is the setup's comedic irony — a guy who thought he won the lottery slowly figuring out the terms of the prize. Nothing here is particularly dark or complicated. It's exactly what it presents itself as, and it's reasonably well-executed for what it is.
