Episode Context

Following Episode 8's focus on Yukino's inner world and personal milestones, Episode 9 appears to function as a transitional chapter where past avoidances catch up with the characters, the 'postponed debts' of the title. Positioned just before Episode 10's forward-looking 'Everything Starts Now,' this episode likely serves as a necessary clearing of emotional baggage before the series can push Yukino and Arima's relationship into its next phase. At nine episodes into a twenty-six episode run, the series is moving past its initial setup and into the deeper character work that defines its middle act.
