Episode Context

After Episode 4 ('Her Difficult Problem') focused on Miyazawa confronting her own vulnerabilities, Episode 5 balances the scales by turning the lens on Arima, establishing that both leads carry hidden depths and unresolved struggles. This early-season character groundwork is critical, it transforms the central relationship from a charming comedy setup into something with real psychological stakes. The dual-perspective foundation laid here directly fuels the emotional complexity of the episodes ahead.
