This episode was amazing. Anzu's character development was good, from a thief to a hardworking girl. hina creating a mess in Niita's home was chaotic, although no superpowers were used by Hina or Anzu

In this episode, I feel like crying. The best moments when Anzu joins the homeless, giving the show a heart. Her growth is beautiful. The graphics are gritty and realistic, the messy park contrasts with the clean Yakuza offices. The sunset lighting is warm yet deeply melancholic.

Anzu’s survival in the park is a masterclass in blending heart-wrenching reality with dark comedy. Watching a "super-powered weapon" learn the value of a single yen while scavenging cans is surprisingly moving. It’s a grounded, empathetic look at homelessness.

Episode Context

After Episode 2's escalation with psychic battles and property destruction, Episode 3 deliberately downshifts to establish the series' emotional backbone, particularly through Anzu's character arc, which becomes one of the season's most rewarding throughlines. This episode marks the point where Hinamatsuri begins alternating between comedy-forward and emotionally resonant episodes, a pattern that defines the remaining nine episodes. The groundwork laid here for both Anzu's independence and Hina's evolving bond with Nitta pays dividends across the entire back half of the season.
