Episode Context

Coming off Episode 16, which highlighted Hikaru's sharp perceptiveness and hinted at growing awareness around Himeko's secret, this episode shifts focus directly onto the ribbon's limitations, raising the personal stakes of Himeko's magical responsibility. At episode 17 of 61, the series is still in its early-to-mid rhythm, building character and testing the rules of its fantasy premise. It bridges into Episode 18, which reportedly centers on Himeko's smile, signaling a gradual pivot toward more emotionally grounded storytelling within the ongoing magical-girl framework.
