Episode Context

Sitting at episode 70 of 75, this is a critical late-series pivot point following Hikaru's painful hiatus from competitive Go after Sai's disappearance, the emotional crater that defined the preceding episodes. This installment marks the beginning of Hikaru's reawakening, bridging the grief-driven withdrawal into his renewed commitment to professional play. It directly sets up the final stretch of episodes where Hikaru must prove, to himself and others, that his journey in Go is far from over.
