The pacing barely slowed down from start to finish, and I never felt like the episode wasted any time. I liked how it kept the momentum going while still making every moment feel important. The tension stayed high the whole way through, which made it easy to stay invested. This is the kind of episode that makes it hard not to watch the next one right away.
The grand battle finally takes the stage. The pacing was quick and had a bit of desperation in it. The animation looked stunning, and was paired with some high-stakes tone where everyone needs to give their best in order to survive, and provided some excellent character development.
Shocking revelations and betrayal shift the visual tone into pure dread. The graphics use high-contrast, flashing frames to emphasize the emotional shock on Tamaki's face as a trusted ally smiles cruelly. The animation sparkles with unstable dark energy particles, setting a dark, hopeless tone right before the finale.
