📖 SYNOPSIS

"Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou" introduces Keiichi Maebara, a young man who moves to the tranquil village of Hinamizawa. He quickly integrates into the community, forming close bonds with his schoolmates. The village, seemingly untouched by the outside world, prepares for its annual festival, a time of celebration and tradition. However, Keiichi's idyllic life is soon disrupted by an inexplicable sense of foreboding. He begins to perceive a darkness lurking beneath the surface of Hinamizawa, a feeling that intensifies as he uncovers unsettling clues and strange behaviors. The series explores themes of paranoia, isolation, and the fragility of trust, as Keiichi struggles to understand the secrets that Hinamizawa desperately tries to keep hidden. The peaceful setting becomes a breeding ground for fear, forcing Keiichi to confront the unsettling reality of his new home.
