As the final episode of a 12-episode season, this directly follows the Rating Game showdown in Episode 11 and serves as the definitive resolution to the Riser Phenex conflict that has been the season's primary tension point. Everything from Issei's reincarnation as a devil to his growing power and bond with Rias has been building to this moment. The finale also plants seeds for future developments, establishing the foundation that Season 2 picks up from.
