Episode Context

Episode 17 pivots from the Japan-China historical focus of Episode 16 to spotlight America's personal history and his connections with other nations, particularly England. As the first part of the 'Cleaning of the Storage' storyline, this episode plants seeds that carry forward to Episode 20, where America's reflections deepen and further develop his present-day relationships. Roughly a third into the 52-episode season, this marks Hetalia continuing its pattern of rotating character spotlights to flesh out the broader ensemble cast.
