A gentle blur signals a shift, taking us into a flashback where Fuchi converses with Shiu. Shiu questions the reasoning behind Fuchi's unconventional nicknames for their dojo companions. Fuchi offers a straightforward explanation, revealing a deeper sentiment: he sees the Yamada clan as his own family, his home. He posits that there is no special reason needed to affectionately name one's family members. Shiu listens, his expression shifting to one of understanding, and he readily agrees, affirming his own belief that the Yamada clan constitutes his family too, pledging to support them alongside Fuchi.

The scene blurs back to the present, where Sagiri gently probes Fuchi about his momentary silence, wondering if something is amiss. Yuzuriha, seizing the opportunity, teases him, suggesting he might be regretting his choice of peculiar names. But Fuchi is resolute; he dismisses his earlier philosophical musings as a mere joke. He declares with firm resolve that they are Asaemon, and the others are criminals, asserting he has no intention of altering his chosen mode of address. As he implies Sagiri might be dubbed "Sagirin," both Yuzuriha and Sagiri recoil, united in their sheer, absolute dismay at the thought of their prospective nicknames.
