Episode Context

Sitting at episode 13 of 49, this episode arrives just past the show's first major checkpoint, following the outdoor supernatural encounter in 'Picnic of Terror! Riddle of the North-Eastern Pass.' It deepens the dynamic between Nube and his students by putting him in a position of rare helplessness, shifting the usual rescuer-and-rescued roles. The episode feeds directly into the next installment, '2 Kyoukos!? Horror of the Doppelganger,' continuing the series' mid-season momentum around identity, trust, and escalating supernatural threats.
