IS THIS WORTH WATCHING?

Here are my points to consider

• If you have read the OG source and expecting some heavy fan service in this anime, then you would be disappointed

• If you have watched the 1990's anime version and also expecting some fan service in this anime, then you would be disappointed yet again

• There’s a gap in my review timeline because I took some time to read the original source material and watched some episode of the 90's anime. After doing so, I must say that I think the anime stands well on its own without the fan service. If it's included, then it would be highly controversial

• The studio did an excellent job of preserving the nostalgic ’90s feel of the anime while seamlessly blending it with modern animation techniques

• The animation mostly doesn't looked like it has been half-assed

• The anime does contain some gory elements, but the studio did a good job of toning them down

• It may not be as good as Spooky Kitaro, but it serves as a solid alternative for fans looking for a similar experience.
