Hell's Paradise

Set during the waning days of the Edo period, "Hell's Paradise" follows Gabimaru, a formidable shinobi sentenced to death. He is presented with a perilous opportunity: retrieve the legendary Elixir of Life from the mythical island of Sukhavati, and he will be granted his freedom. Driven by his love for his wife, Gabimaru accepts the challenge, partnering with the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri. Their journey to the island unveils a landscape teeming with unknown dangers. They encounter other death row inmates, all vying for the same prize, and face terrifying creatures, unsettling statues, and the island's enigmatic hermits. The series explores themes of survival, the value of life, and the lengths one will go to for love, as Gabimaru navigates this treacherous environment, battling both external threats and his own internal struggles to achieve his ultimate goal: returning home.
