EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off 'The Light of a Ward,' which continued examining the human cost of the Hell Correspondence, episode 24 pivots sharply toward Ai Enma's backstory and marks the series' transition into its endgame. The introduction of Sentarou and the exploration of Ai's past provide essential groundwork for the final two episodes. This directly sets the stage for 'Hell Girl' (episode 25) and the finale 'Basting,' where the revelations seeded here reach their full, devastating conclusion.
