Haunted Junction

A satisfying (and surprisingly heartfelt) ending to the story. Overall, I think this anime had some really creative and comedic writing, but unfortunately it was dampened by a lot of jokes that did not age well at all. Mutsuki’s character suffers from this the most.

It took the Department of Education way too long to investigate this school, in my opinion! This episode actually had some real stakes. Let’s see how it will all be resolved in the finale.

Wow so there are actually normal classes, teachers and students in this school. Poor Nino, he always has the creeps after him. Someone needs to call ghost protective services.

The raunchy jokes are still a bit off-putting but the comedy and the plot makes up for it with the Holy Student Council's teamwork.

A really interesting premise but some of the comedy is really showing its age. Overall, still a unique anime in the 90s.

Mutsuki needs to go to JAIL! The first half of this episode dragged a bit, but the second half was fun. I liked the Flower Pair.

Damn, you can still get sick even if you’re a ghost? That sucks! This was the best episode so far! Red Mantle is my favorite school spirit. I love his dramatic flair and found him hilarious in this ep.

Another episode that I struggled to pay attention to. Just not as funny or entertaining as most of the previous eps. Surprisingly, with this being a Nino focused ep, I was ready for Mutsuki to be on her worst behavior. However, her comments and antics were pretty tame.

This episode was purely just fanservice, but done in a pretty funny and entertaining way. Kazumi’s commentary made me lol. I have got to wonder if the students at this school ever go to class, doesn’t seem like it.

The best part of this episode was that Mutsuki wasn’t acting like a weirdo perv! So that was great. I also really liked the Sailor Moon parody lol.

Not too much to say about this ep, to be honest. It was fine, I just felt a bit bored with it. It was also a little bit sad!

A fun premise that ended up being quite sweet at the end. Full of inappropriate jokes towards the minor characters though. This anime is very much a product of its time.

Fast paced and full of jokes, I thought this episode was very funny. Loved the magical girl sequence for all the spirits. Only two eps in, but I think in order for me to enjoy this anime I’ll have to ignore Mutsuki and her weird behavior towards Nino.

I love anime from the 90s and anything that has to do with folklore and the occult so I was excited to start this one. This episode was pretty funny and very quirky. The various ghosts were all very entertaining. Mutsuki's "attraction" is gross, so I’m not liking her character too much right now and it did damper my enjoyment quite a bit.
