It's so rare to have an active parent in anime, they're pretty much invisible. Well, not rare but it's not common either. The earlier scenes with Naru's dad was really funny, despite being brief. It's so nice seeing everyone try their best and we finally got a taste of yosakoi in this episode - it made for a great transition into their teacher having mixed feelings so far.
