Synopsis
At the tender age of 14, high school student Naru Sekiya finds that she pales in comparison to the fairy tale princesses she adores so much, not to mention the ideal girl she wants to be in contrast to her peers. Her childhood friend Yaya Sasame is enjoying herself with her school rock band, while her other childhood friend Tami Nishimikado is a member of the student council. Desiring the strength to take the next step forward, Naru has wanted a magic key to open her timid heart since the start of high school. During one moonlit night, Naru encounters what she believes is a cute fairy standing atop a torii gate who shortly invites her to dance with her. The next day, she discovers that the "fairy" was not only just an ordinary girl, but also a transfer high school student from America! Excited to meet Naru again, Hana N. Fountainstand encourages her to help her start a club for yosakoi, a festive type of Japanese dance that Hana has been entranced by since childhood. Though initially terrified of Hana's enthusiasm and the thought of being seen dancing, Naru slowly finds herself immersed in the art of yosakoi and assisting her new friend achieve her dream—for the path for a maiden such as herself is at the mercy of the wind!

Overall, I enjoyed the series as a whole and I feel more people should watch it. Their final performace (as in for this show) was so endearing to watch after watching their struggles, obstacles they faced as well as how hard they have worked to get to this point. A good series I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a heartfelt slice-of-life series.
Lowkey plot twist we got in this episode lol. Anyways I am glad we got a focus on a struggle that Hana is facing as she has always been portrayed as this optimistic character with a positive outlook on life. Her having her struggle showcased made her a more raw and realistic character.
Yayyy we finally get to see them as a whole Yosakoi team. I think this episode felt a bit more relaxing compared to the rest which I found balances the pace of the whole show. We get to see them bond and help Machi too which makes them grow their team dynamic.
It was nice to see more of Machi as she has been quite present in previous episodes but not fully highlighted. I'm glas we got to see more of Machi and Sally's relationship which allows us to understand Machi's character more and her view of Sally.
Banyak emotion di sini. Tapi, yang paling berasa itu gregetnya. Kalian sukses bikin saya duduk di ujung kursi. Naru, proud of you. Hana, proud of you. Tami, cantik banget. Yaya, proud of you. Machi, girl boss. Sally sensei makasih banyak.
I found Hana hilarious when she's direct and straightforward lol. I think she adds a lot of liveliness to the show especially since a lot of the scenes and perhaps themes showcased can feel heavy (not in a bad way). The show also makes me root for these girls especially for their first performance, like they feel so precious knowing how hard they work and the obstacles they have to overcome.
I really like how there is a good amount of heartfelt and comedic scenes which makes the series have a good balance. I personally like the tension they showcased in this episode as it made it feel more realistic rather than something that's all sunshine and rainbows. I also am starting to like how raw of a character Yaya is.
I think the opening scene is funny also because we don't see Naru's dad often lol. This episode is nice in showing them figuring out their idenity and direction as a Yosakoi team. I think it's very endearing how much effort they put into this and their relationship as a team getting closer.
Yayyy, it's nice to see the club finally starting their activities. I'm starting to like Tami a lot more, I think she's such a precious character. So far the show has been really nice and the characters are getting nice character development too.
Nooooo Hanaaa. Why?
Aww I personally felt a lot for Tami, as ridiculous as the situation with her may be, it is a very real thing people experience. I was happy to see more of her as she has the classy and princess demeanor to her but on the inside she is struggling quite a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing her development and the other characters too. I thought this show would be just a simple slice-of-life show but I think this show has been very raw with the characters as well as how heartfelt it has been.
I think Hana's personality is adorable. She has that optimistic and positive nature that would make people drawn to her so I lowkey understand why Naru likes Hana lol. I also like how we got to see more of Yaya and Hana together which I think allowed Yaya to understand Hana a bit more and maybe also understand why Naru likes her.
Honestly, I didn't really like Yaya's character here in this episode but I liked the character development she got by the end of the episode. Despite disliking her character at the start, I also liked how they didn't make the characters in general have this perfect and predictable personality, which gives the show and it's characters a lot more diversity in my opinion.
I found the opening very cute. So far I thought the flow and plot is easy to follow. I think Naru is definitely a character that many can relate to. I honestly didn't expect the anime to be quite deep but I am looking forward to the rest of the series and Naru's development.
Lucu banget di sequence papanya Naru. Kek berasa lompat genre.
Aku dukung kamu!!
