Episode 3 is the episode where Hanaori-san finally clicks. The first two episodes were funny but scattered, throwing magical girls and new characters at the wall without a clear focus. This episode strips things back and remembers what the show is actually about: two former enemies trying to figure out how to live in a world that doesn't need them to kill each other anymore.
The rooftop lunch is sweet. The dungeon scene is emotionally honest. The fight at the end is fun. It's not groundbreaking television, but it's a genuinely good episode of a show that's still figuring itself out.
