While I am aware that this special is focused more on nekoma's road to nationals (the details was amazing) I personally wished they could've shown more running scene of itachiyama here instead of just kiyoomi's back figure since itachiyama is one of the top powerhouse in japan.

Episode Context

As the concluding episode of this two-part OVA, 'The Path of the Ball' picks up directly from the first episode's establishment of the Tokyo Qualifiers and pushes Nekoma's bracket storyline toward its critical juncture. It bridges the gap between the main television seasons by covering qualifier content that the anime previously skipped, giving essential context to Nekoma's nationals appearance. This episode effectively completes the OVA's mission of fleshing out the rivalry and competition landscape ahead of the national tournament arc.
