Episode 7 feels simple on the surface, but it actually has a meaningful idea behind it. When I realized this anime came out in 2002, I started to appreciate how interesting the creator’s thinking was. Back then, most games felt like they needed a clear objective or goal, but this episode presents a different idea: maybe you do not always need one fixed purpose to play a game. Sometimes, the reason you play can be personal, depending on what you want to experience. That idea feels even more relevant today, especially now that games without strict objectives have become much more popular.

This episode introduces a new character and she's pretty different than the rest which brings something unique to the story. Nothing much really happened to progress the story tho so this one feels a bit like a filler episode. :)
