Episode 18 makes me wonder if Subaru is actually a bit too weak. Isn’t she supposed to be an important and respected person in the game? Yet she feels very fragile here, and it is strange that she can be injured so easily by a random player. Also, I am still confused about Subaru’s feelings. Does she like Crim, or is she more interested in Tsukasa? On top of that, the action scenes still have not improved. The fights are once again mostly skipped, which makes the episode feel less exciting than it should be.

This episode really focuses more on the duty of the Crimson Knights and man, it was a really good side plot. I really became super invested into that plot and I was sad when the episode ended. Really great writing there! ;)
