Episode Context

Coming off Episode 2's introduction of Kite's Bracelet and the weight of responsibility it places on Shugo, this episode begins unpacking what that responsibility actually means on a personal level. It marks the early-season transition from setup to character foundation, introducing Sanjuro as a likely mentor presence who will factor into Shugo's development going forward.
