Loud and kinda messy in the best way possible. The show throws realism out the window and just goes full throttle on hype and attitude. Kamina naming their combined robot Gurren Lagann had me grinning. Pure energy, no holding back. You can tell right away this series runs on emotion and never looking back. First time they break through to the surface felt epic. If you like over-the-top fun, this delivers.
