Episode Context

Episode 2 keeps the tone light and energetic while sharpening the comedic edge established in the premiere. A new face arrives in the form of Tsubaki Mapputatsu, a miko swordswoman whose formidable skills immediately shake up Mamoru's carefully maintained routine. The humor leans into the absurdity of secret-identity comedy. Mamoru must stay composed and covert while navigating a threat that demands anything but subtlety. Expect slapstick-adjacent action beats paired with character-driven warmth, as Mamoru's unwavering loyalty to Yūna remains the emotional anchor. The pacing is brisk, and the episode earns its laughs without sacrificing the low-stakes tension that makes the premise enjoyable. A confident, fun second outing.
