Synopsis
Within one's Book of Fate is their destiny. Written by the mysterious Story Tellers, these books decide every small detail of one's life. Some Story Tellers, however, choose to interfere with the stories of others rather than write their own. These malevolent beings are known as Chaos Tellers, who seek to ruin stories by overwriting the Books of Fate. Ex, Reina, Tao, and Shane were born with blank books. Ostracized by society due to this abnormality, they abandon their respective stories in search of better lives. In the vast unknown, they encounter famous fairy tale characters such as Cinderella, Momotarou, and Snow White. All the while, they work to subdue the Chaos Tellers and return peace and order to the stories.

In the Looking-Glass World, the final battle against Loki features a great climax with Ex's transformation, but the fight feels short and leaves loose ends. An acceptable closure for an anime with ups and downs that, overall, promised a more epic conclusion.
In Wonderland, the group deals with an Alice who has rejected fantasy as childish. An episode that defends the value of dreaming, just before a hidden betrayal is discovered that prevents the continuation of the story.
In Joan of Arc's zone, Ex faces the dilemma of accepting the heroine's tragic fate. A deep episode about conviction and duty, where an enemy shows her unexpected side to help the protagonists.
A great episode in Aladdin's zone, full of tragic romance and painful decisions for Reina after an unexpected sacrifice. Also, the main plot moves forward as Loki's dark past and his alliance to destroy all known stories are revealed
Based on Momotaro, the tale itself isn't that interesting, but the episode shines by showing us Tao's past. It's very interesting to learn how he met Shane and how a past mistake of his in this zone twisted the story and caused the protagonist's death.
Based on the Snow Queen, the group arrives in a cold zone where two siblings try to save each other from an imminent separation. An episode with unexpected twists and a Chaos Teller that you wouldn't imagine at all.
An episode with an interesting and sentimental twist in Snow White's zone. After being kidnapped by the dwarfs to awaken the princess, Ex discovers a family drama where the queen is the true mother, forcing the group to deal with a tender bond.
This has been the most boring episode of the anime so far. The group arrives in a pirate zone where a cook is corrupted by his desire to mimic a great captain.
Learning about Ex's origin story and after an intense battle to protect Cinderella from an unexpected threat, our protagonist made the decision to officially join the main group on their journey. It was a very entertaining episode!
A very interesting episode because they finally explain what happens when you have a blank page. We learn about Ex's past with Cinderella and how he meets Reina on the most important night, just as a Chaos Teller prepares to attack the zone.
A very entertaining and illustrative episode about Don Quixote. It's an excellent way to explain this literary classic while the group arrives in a zone under attack by strange monsters, having to fight to help the knight save his destiny.
A story with dark twists on fairy tales and very good transformations. In this episode, arriving in Little Red Riding Hood's zone and after facing the possessed villagers, the group must fight to save her from her own fears and restore the original story.
This is the season finale, but for me, it was lacking something. The climax didn't reach its full potential. The momentum was almost the same as in the previous episodes, making the story feel somewhat flat. There are still many questions that need to be answered, and I'm not sure if there will be a Season 2. I was expecting a full-blown fight scene. The peak of the episode for me was when Ex transformed.
The setting is very colorful, much like the typical Alice in Wonderland story. The characters are also sillier and louder, making the episode feel more lighthearted. The cliffhanger at the end was great. I hope the next episode will provide a satisfying conclusion.
This is my favorite episode so far. I can't help but become attached to Jeanne. Also, her eyes are so beautiful, the colors are gorgeous. She was unwavering and resolute. My favorite main character! I noticed that Ex's transformation into Alice is quite similar to Sailor Moon's transformation. Haha.
Since I'm quite familiar with Aladdin's story, I think this is a fresh way of experiencing it. Anime-style Aladdin was so cute. They did a great job animating him. I really liked Reina's tuning scene. It was so serene to watch.
The story still doesn't affect me as much as the previous episodes. Maybe it's because the previous ones were too heavily involved with, or relied too much on, the Book of Fate, so they couldn't contradict it. Shane should have been in the spotlight in this episode as well. Why doesn't my girl get enough credit??
I don't know why, but the story in this episode didn't leave much of an impact on me. Maybe I didn't feel the depth of emotion from the guest characters. But overall, it was still okay for me. The new characters they added were exciting, and the animation of Loki while he was escaping was great.
Yeah, I agree, fate is cruel. The episode was wholesome, and it gave me a whole new perspective on the story of Snow White. For this episode, I just didn't like what they did to the Seven Dwarfs. See for yourself. Haha.
You know, I kind of got a hint about who the Chaos Teller is in this episode. See? The story itself cuts deep. We just don't notice it at first glance. They made me not want to hate the Chaos Teller. Burn the Book of Fate! Haha, jk.
