The whole ending felt really interesting. fooling not only the yakuza, but also the chinese mafia with some sedative is a quite ridiculous feat. well, this show never relied on anything realistic, so i suppose ending the case in this epic comedic manner is nice.

Perfect series finale! Remote island abandonment feels poetic justice. Makoto's mother dream comes full circle. Operation details satisfy completely. Dorothy's ring tossed honors memory. Epilogue revealing her alive astounds beautifully.

the ending hit different. everyone finally getting what they needed after everything they went through? satisfying. makoto running that café felt right. laurent finally letting go of the past? needed that. and that post-credits scene? yeah. perfect wrap. 🥲
