For any Baki fan, this OVA is a must-see: intense, epic, action-packed, and with gorgeous animation and character designs for the 90s. The only downside is that it's too short.

Episode Context

As the sole entry point to this OVA release, this episode carries the full weight of establishing Baki's world, motivations, and the shadow cast by his legendary father. There is no prior episode to build on, everything begins here. What it sets up is the core tension driving the entire series: a son's relentless, almost self-destructive need to surpass an impossibly strong parent.
