The tone shift this episode was pretty noticeable with that bizarre club introduction. It leans into the weirdness quite a bit, but still keeps things relatively light despite the implied stakes. An odd mix, but it works.

The main character becomes a lot easier to like here. His inner thoughts feel grounded and relatable, and that forest conversation does a lot of work for both him and Koko. It helps solidify their dynamic in a more natural way.
