Surprisingly, our heroes actually accomplished their primary objective before the climatic battle has even started, quite a unique approach. Still, they're up against an enemy that clearly outgun them in every way, would their success be worth it? Excited to see how it plays out.

This part takes beat for beat from the manga, and it's a really good transposition. Sadly, it is also quite a handful of characters and dynamics to keep track of, so it can result a little confusing and hard to follow at times (or remember who does what where).

The pacing here was actually faithful to the manga, glad they didn't rush this setup bc anime-onlies have *no clue* what's coming next 🐺

Crunchyroll's woke agenda usually ruins everything but even their mistranslations couldn't stop this Golden Kamuy episode from being pure peak with that raw action and emotional payoff, faithful AF! 😀

Tsurumi's galaxy brain moves outsmarting Ariko's strategy, pure psychological warfare during that escape was Death Note-level chess. πŸ’―

The church escape scenario could offer some truly exquisite interplay of light and shadow, delivering a visual treat, or it could just be a functional backdrop, ya know.
