The King's Plea
Inside the ornate throne room, the King sits heavy with concern as his Dog-man General and Old Sage Advisor report the dire news. His sister, the Princess, has been snatched on a ritual journey; a strange falling star in the northern sky signals ill omen. The King is desperate, his plea for her safe return a stark reminder of the personal cost of royal duty. This early scene establishes the urgency, laying bare the profound vulnerability beneath the gilded authority.
Preparations and Prophecy
Within the palace's bright corridors, Goblin Slayer's party readies for their mission. High Elf Archer retains her usual adventurous spirit, but Priestess's focus is solemn, already burdened by the Princess's peril. Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest exchange grim lore about the 'Dead Labyrinth' and its mountain denizens. As they prepare their mounts, Sword Maiden emerges, offering a mysteriously imbued blue ribbon to Goblin Slayer, declaring it both a charm and a key to the labyrinth's secrets.
The Northern Ride and a Ghastly Discovery
Mounted on black steeds, the party gallops from the palace, leaving civilization behind for the imposing, jagged northern mountains. The journey quickly shifts from open plains to snow-dusted foothills, the rising peaks casting an ominous shadow as night descends. They soon find the scene of the ambush, an overturned carriage, scattered supplies, and fresh goblin and wolf tracks leading higher. The absence of bodies confirms Priestess's chilling suspicion; the retinue was taken alive for a darker purpose.
Choosing the Hard Path
At the foot of the Dead Labyrinth, the mountain looms, its entrance resembling a gaping maw. Dwarf Shaman quickly ascertains the main gate will be a death trap, heavily guarded and rigged. He suggests a vertical ascent, a more perilous but stealthier approach to a less monitored vent. The wind picks up, biting and cold, as they prepare climbing gear, opting for hardship over predictable danger.
Darkness and Wolf Riders
Inside the labyrinth, the air is thick with the stench of goblin and decay, the ancient runes on the walls barely visible in the dim torchlight. The Dwarf Shaman warns of magic dampening, adding another layer of danger to the oppressive darkness. Without warning, a pack of goblins on massive grey wolves charges down a corridor. Lizard Priest meets the initial impact, while High Elf Archer and Priestess support from afar. Goblin Slayer moves with brutal, practiced efficiency, systematically neutralizing the riders.
Descent into the Deep
With the wolf riders dispatched, the party discovers an ancient, functional lift mechanism. Goblin Slayer and Dwarf Shaman quickly assess its purpose, a direct route to the ritual chambers. They note the goblins' unusual organization, their better equipment, and distinctive tribal brands, signs of a more dangerous intelligence at work. The lift descends, humming with a faint purple glow, carrying them deeper into the mountain's heart.
The Hero's Distant Battle
The scene briefly shifts away to an entirely different, massive battle taking place elsewhere. The Chosen Hero, a black-haired girl in gleaming white armor, leads her own party against a monstrous, eye-covered blob. She radiates an intense, holy power, her sword cleaving through the creature with a single, devastating swing. This interlude illustrates that while Goblin Slayer's party hunts their specific evil, other, grander evils plague the world.
The Abominable Altar
Back in the descending lift, the party prepares for the final assault. Dwarf Shaman warns of a high-ranking 'Bishop,' a goblin priest wielding dark magic. Goblin Slayer checks his arsenal, his focus absolute, his silent determination a stark counterpoint to Priestess's quiet prayer for strength. The lift doors open to a cavernous hall, ablaze with green light, filled with chanting goblins. The Princess is chained to a stone altar, vulnerable, as a tall, robed Goblin Priest begins a sacrifice to a dark deity. The party bursts forth in a coordinated attack; High Elf Archer rains arrows, Lizard Priest charges, and Goblin Slayer lunges directly for the Priest. Priestess's 'Purify' spell bursts forth, disrupting the ritual's dark energy, creating the crucial opening for rescue.
EPISODE REVIEWS

It is really hilarious how the gate works and how the goblins popped up right in front of the hero's party. Having the finale take place in this labyrinth of the dead is absolutely perfect, as it adds so much more suspense and eeriness to the build-up.
