This episode broke my heart. Nakamura had the same voice actor as Yoshiki and hearing him cry ruins me. Can relate as a lesbian

I swore Hirose was going to give that chocolate to Nakamura! 💔 This chapter broke my heart; seeing Nakamura so disheartened and on the verge of giving up is incredibly sad. It’s truly frustrating and makes you feel awful for him.

I thought their ship was finally official, but it turned out to be a heartbreaking, sad moment. I don't know if it's a good thing or not. Watch it if you want to see a heartbreaking moment. Skip it if you don't like sad moments.

Episode 12 is easily one of the strongest episodes of the entire series, and for me personally, a standout alongside Episode 6.

What makes this episode so effective is how it builds emotional tension through small, seemingly simple interactions. The focus is less on dramatic events and more on quiet moments, misunderstandings, and the painful gap between expectation and reality. Everything feels grounded, which makes the emotional impact hit even harder.

Nakamura’s perspective is especially powerful here. His internal reactions, hopes, and gradual emotional breakdown are portrayed in a very raw and relatable way. You can really feel how much weight even the smallest developments carry for him, and the voice acting in particular elevates these moments significantly.

At the same time, the episode maintains the series’ subtle humor and awkward charm, which makes the emotional contrast even more striking. It’s that balance that makes the episode so memorable: it doesn’t rely on big dramatic twists, but on emotional accumulation.

By the end, the tone shifts into something much heavier, leaving a lasting impression that lingers well beyond the episode itself. It’s uncomfortable in places, but intentionally so — and that honesty is what makes it work.

A devastating, beautifully handled episode that quietly changes the emotional direction of the series.

9/10 – painful, intimate, and one of the most impactful episodes so far.

Oooh, a Valentines episode!! 💖🫶 Love is in the air in this holiday, but will it be in Nakamura-kun’s favor? As usual, the awkward antics for poor Nakamura continue in an episode about this lovely holiday, lol 😅 But then, the rest of this ep, omg… the vibe shift makes me feel SO conflicted…🥺

I felt so bad for Nakamura when he saw Hirose with Hana at the school gate and my heart actually broke for him during that bike ride through the city at night

That bridge scene was heavy, and hearing that scream echo through the valley made my stomach turn because you could hear the years of repressed feelings just breaking out of him at once.

The way the title has quotes around friends is such a massive troll and you can tell the creators are teasing us with how much Nakamura is suffering right now

I actually started crying when Nakamura threw those chocolates in the trash and he looked so defeated on his bed because I know that exact feeling of your world just ending over a crush
