Episode Context

Episode 7 cracked open the emotional tensions simmering within the band, and Episode 8 digs directly into the wound, specifically Mafuyu's unresolved past and his relationship with Hiiragi. Sitting at the three-quarter mark of an 11-episode season, this is the critical backstory and emotional groundwork episode before the climactic live performance that the entire series has been building toward. Everything established here feeds directly into the final stretch, making it indispensable for the payoff ahead.
