Synopsis
A full decade removed from the high school band that changed their lives, the guys from Given are still making music — and still figuring out how to love each other through all the noise that comes with actually growing up. This OVA picks up a decade later, checking in on Ritsuka, Mafuyu, and the rest of the crew as they navigate real careers in music, the quiet weight of long-term relationships, and what it means to keep showing up for someone year after year. Ritsuka's still playing guitar, now splitting his time between Given and supporting Hiragi and Shizusumi's band syh, while Mafuyu has grown into a vocalist with real depth and presence. The whole thing has this warm, reflective energy — less about the drama of falling in love and more about the harder, quieter work of staying in love. If you liked Doukyuusei for its tenderness or Sekaiichi Hatsukoi for watching couples actually try to make it work, this hits a similar nerve but with the added texture of a decade's worth of history. It's rare for a BL story to follow characters this far into their futures, and Lerche and Larx Entertainment give it a grounded, emotionally honest treatment. You don't need to have seen every Given entry to feel something here, but if you have, this epilogue lands with real weight.
