EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

A pure comedy episode split between two equally ridiculous tonal registers. The first half dives headfirst into chaotic, food-obsessed mayhem as one of the school teams embarks on a gloriously excessive eating binge, frantic, loud, and utterly shameless in its silliness. The second half pulls back to the adults, where the typically composed mothers spiral into melodramatic, alcohol-fueled laments over their daughters growing up. It's a sharp, funny contrast that gives the spin-off unexpected depth without ever taking itself seriously. Adapted from a four-panel manga, the pacing is rapid and punchline-driven, rewarding fans who already love these characters. Expect warmth beneath the absurdity, this one sneaks genuine affection for every generation into its runtime.
