Episode Context

Episode 69 launches the Fuyo Arc, one of Gintama's notable sci-fi storylines, following the standalone horror-comedy of episode 68. Sitting roughly a third of the way through the series' 201-episode run, it marks a shift from episodic fare into a multi-episode narrative that introduces new characters and expands the show's world-building. The groundwork laid here directly feeds into the escalating events of the episodes that follow.
