Episode Context

Sitting at episode 67 of 201, this is a standalone entry nestled between two other self-contained stories, following 'Dango Over Flowers' (Episode 66), where Gintoki helped a struggling dumpling shop, and preceding 'Like a Haunted House, Life is Filled with Horrors' (Episode 68), a haunted house gag episode. This stretch of the series leans into episodic character encounters that flesh out Edo's world and reinforce Gintoki's knack for attracting trouble, keeping things light before the show's heavier arcs ahead.
