Episode Context

Sitting at episode 63 of 201, this is a standalone character spotlight following Episode 62's mummy-hunting misadventures. It functions as a comedic breather between longer narrative threads, deepening the world of Edo through its side characters before the series moves into its next batch of episodic and arc-driven stories. Zenzou's introduction here builds out the supporting cast roster that Gintama continuously draws from in later, more consequential arcs.
