Episode Context

This is the middle chapter of the Otsuu Fan Club Competition mini-arc, following the qualifying race in episode 159 and leading directly into the charisma contest in episode 161. Sitting at episode 160 of 201, it falls in Gintama's later stretch where the show freely alternates between comedy arcs and the heavier storylines ahead, making this a classic lighthearted palette cleanser.
