Episode Context

Episode 134 serves as the climax and resolution of the Ghost Ryokan Arc, paying off the supernatural tensions built across the preceding episodes, including Episode 133's setup. It wraps up the storylines surrounding Oiwa and Rei decisively before the series pivots back to standalone comedy territory with Episode 135, a meta-humor episode about Gintama's own future, a classic palate cleanser after an arc conclusion.
